"The Peephole" is a short survival horror game. You play as a missing boy in the 1980s. You find yourself in a cabin in the middle of the night. You look through a peephole and a window to spot monsters. To scare away the monsters you use a radio.

The Peephole

A 30-second game where your goal is to jump on the colored platforms that spawn on the ground.

Dice Around

You play as a small box trying to catch colors from platforms that spawn randomly on the ground. Every platform you land on gives you 1 point, the more platforms you land on the more points you get. When there are 9 seconds left you gain extra speed and you can catch the last colors.

Color Catcher

In this exciting platformer game, you play as a robot tasked with fighting against hordes of parasites that are wreaking havoc on the world.

A rhythm game where you create what you want and can compete with what you are.

I started by doing some research. I knew I wanted to use NextJs or Sveltekit. Eventually, I settled for NextJs but will come to that later. First I tried Sveltekit and it didn't work how I wanted it to. So I just stopped. Later when I was watching youtube I saw a video from Fireship. They were talking about NextJs 13, so I followed the tutorial and I liked it. One problem though, they used Pocketbase in that tutorial. I use vercel for hosting my websites, I don't self-host. So that was a problem. 

I searched for similar providers and I came across Sanity which I'm using on this website right now. It was a great choice and I have learned a lot. If you're wondering what tutorial I followed. It's this one.

. For me it was amazing, It helped me learn the basics of groq and Sanity's backend. It was also great because they were using Tailwindcss like me, so I learned how to use content blocks like the one you're staring at.

This isn't a tutorial so I won't be talking about every line of code I wrote, but I tried to make it as modular as I could. For example with the game and blog post cards. I made them components that I then could use on any page I wanted. I also made a section component that I could use to make every section on the website have the same width and scale properly on different devices. I made more components but these are the only ones I will show.
